Reminders and Updates
Harley Davidson Raffle - Please be selling your tickets and volunteering your time to work a shift at any of the many venues. We also are always in need of people to help haul the bike to these venues. Please check the schedule by following the Fundraiser Link above and clicking on the Harley Raffle Schedule in the right column or click here. Contact Holly Brigner or Michelle Brown-Gordon and let them know where you can help out.
General News and Information
Physicals - Every student must have a current physical on file to participate in color guard. Physical forms are available from Patti Bennett and may be picked up at any of the camps. If your student has had a physical, the physician will need to complete the form. Physicals are good for one year. If you have your physical form ready, please bring it to camp to turn in.
Practice Information - All practices are at Medlar View Elementary unless otherwise specified. Please be sure to escort your student into the building when you bring her to practice and walk in to pick her up after practice is over. Parents may observe practice during the last 15 minutes. Please arrive promptly to pick up your student at the end of practice. Students are expected to wear clothing to practice that allows for movement (shorts, t-shirt and gym shoes). NO JEANS and NO FLIP-FLOPS. Hair should be worn up in a ponytail and away from your face. Bring all necessary equipment and a water bottle to every practice. Practice begins on time. It is suggested that you arrive 5-10 minutes early.
Gloves - If your student lost their gloves or needs a new pair, they can be purchased at Fred J. Miller Company located at 118 Westpark Road off 725 in Centerville. They can be purchased at the front desk with either cash or credit card. They do not accept checks.
Complaints or Concerns - All complaints or concerns need to be brought to the attention of the director, Cathy Barnes-Miller or the board vice president, Patti Bennett, not a staff member. Cathy is available 30 minutes before practice and 15 minutes after practice in her classroom at Medlar View. She may also be reached by email at CSBFlag@aol.com or Cbarnes@miamisburg.k12.oh.us.
Fundraisers - Please do your part to make our fundraisers a success. The success of these fundraisers is what keeps our fees low. For more information on current and upcoming fundraisers, click on the Fundraisers link at the top of the page.
Website Pictures - As a member of the guard, your son or daughter's picture may be displayed on the website. If you do not want your student's picture displayed, please contact the webmaster, Ted Gladeau at eagladeau@woh.rr.com.
Email Correspondence - The majority of correspondence for the guard is through your email. If you are not receiving emails or your email address has changed please notify Patti Bennett at Pbennett1@woh.rr.com.
